What’s the legal limit for tint in California?
Front side windows must allow more than 70% of light in. Rear side windows and the back glass can be darker. The front windshield can only have a strip at the top (above the AS-1 line). That said, many of our clients go darker for style and heat rejection, knowing it’s technically “for show use.”
What’s the difference between carbon and ceramic tint?
Carbon tint gives you privacy and basic heat rejection at a friendly price. Ceramic is the premium choice — it blocks infrared heat, keeps your cabin cooler, and protects electronics and upholstery. If you want to feel the difference in the summer, ceramic is it.
Does my tint come with a warranty?
Yes. All our installations come with warranty coverage against bubbling, peeling, and fading. Higher-grade films like 3M Ceramic IR carry extended warranties straight from the manufacturer.
How long does installation take?
Most cars take 1–2 hours. Full ceramic all around (including windshield) can take up to 3. SUVs and larger vehicles take a little longer. We don’t rush — quality comes first.
Can I wash my car right after tinting?
You can wash your car, but avoid rolling down your windows for at least 3–5 days to let the film cure properly. Any haze or bubbles you see during this time will disappear as the film settles.
How much does it cost to tint my car?
It depends on your car’s year, make, and model, as well as the film you choose. Our specials start at $79 for two front windows, and full ceramic packages vary. Call us or text your car details for an exact quote.
Do you work on Teslas?
All the time. Teslas are one of our specialties. From the massive panoramic windshields to full-coverage ceramic packages, we know exactly how to handle them without issues like signal interference or damage.
Do you remove old tint?
Yes. We can safely remove old or bubbling tint before reapplying new film. Removal takes extra time (and cost) depending on the condition of the old tint.
Will tint mess with my defrosters or sensors?
No. We cut every piece on a plotter for an exact fit, so your rear defroster and vehicle sensors remain fully functional.
Is the front windshield worth tinting?
Absolutely. A clear or light ceramic tint on the windshield blocks the most heat out of any window on your car. It keeps your steering wheel and dash from frying, and it’s nearly invisible while driving.
How long will my tint last?
With proper care, carbon film can last 5+ years, and ceramic can last well over a decade. Premium 3M films are designed to look good and perform for the life of the vehicle.
