How long does it take to install window tint on my car?

On average, a professional tint installation is pretty quick, but it depends on the vehicle size and
how many windows are being tinted. Here’s a general guideline:
● Sedans (4-door cars): About 1 to 2 hours for all side and rear windows. Smaller
coupes may be on the lower end of that range, while a larger sedan with more complex
windows might take closer to 2 hours.
● SUVs and Trucks: Typically 2 to 3 hours for all windows. SUVs have more glass
surface (and sometimes more windows) which can take a bit longer, especially if there
are quarter windows or additional panels. Large vans or full-size SUVs might approach
the higher end.
● Full Vehicle (Ceramic + Windshield): If you opt for a full ceramic tint job including
the front windshield (top strip or full clear UV film) or other extras like sunroof tinting,
plan for roughly 3 hours or more. High-end ceramic films sometimes take a little extra
care in installation, and covering the windshield or panoramic roofs adds time.
We pride ourselves on quality, not speed. Our installers take the time to precisely fit and align
the film, thoroughly clean the glass, and ensure a dust-free application. We carefully squeegee
out all moisture and check for any bubbles or imperfections. While many cars can be done in
under 2 hours, we buffer extra time so the job isn’t rushed.
Why not rush? Tint shops that promise to do a full car in 30 minutes are likely
cutting corners. Cheap, rushed jobs often lead to issues like peeling edges,
bubbles, or tint that turns purple after a year due to inferior film. We’ve all seen cars
with purple, bubbly tint – that’s the result of poor-quality film or installation. Our goal
is to do it right the first time so your tint looks factory, lasts long, and you don’t
waste money re-doing it.
